Texas' Ryan Crouser (shot put) and the 4x400-meter women's relay team of Chrisann Gorgon, Morolake Akinosun, Ariel Jones and Courtney Okolo have earned this week's Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards. Both Crouser and the relay squad posted NCAA bests for this season in their respective events, while also putting their mark on the all-time record books. The win gives Crouser his sixth-career weekly indoor honor and second of 2016. It is the first weekly award for this UT relay squad, but Okolo individually earned the honor last week for her performance in the 400-meter which also granted her the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Women's National Athlete of the Week.
