Baylor 400-meter runner George Caddick and Kansas State pentathlete Akela Jones have been named the male and female Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Caddick raced to a first-place finish in the 400m and Jones nearly eclipsed the NCAA pentathlon record en route to their respective honors. The win marks the first weekly award for Caddick, while Jones took home the honor twice in 2015 on her way to earning Co-Performer of the Year.
