Seniors Jacy Bennett (Oklahoma) and Heather Bergmann (Kansas) lead seven Big 12 student-athletes recognized on the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America Track & Field/Cross Country Teams.

The Big 12 Conference has nominated Meaghan Nelson (Iowa State) and Ifeatu Okafor (Texas Tech) for 2013 NCAA Woman of the Year.

Oklahoma State's men's cross country team has been named the NCAA Division I 2012 Scholar Team of the Year by the USTFCCCA.

Iowa State's Meaghan Nelson and Baylor's Blake Niccum have been named the 2012 Big 12 Cross Country Scholar Athletes of the Year, as selected by the league's coaches. This is the inaugural year for this conference honor.
